COGS, (Chesterfield Open Gaming Society), visits quite a few War Game show's throughout the UK each year.  We put on demonstration and participation games at many of the show's that we attend.

Richard, (Yith) and myself have put on the massive Helm's Deep game on several occasion's over the last couple of years, however more recently I have been attending various show's taking out our WW2 participation game based on the Clint Eastwood movie of the same name, Kelly's Heroes.

Partizan held at Kelham Hall in Newark has three show's per year, the first show of the year is more of a Fantasy based show, more commonly known as Fantizan, so it was decided that we would put on a large LOTR game for this show, but this time we were not intending to play the Helm's Deep game, rather  we would focus on the events of the Battle of the Pelennor Fields instead.

The table layout was 12 feet by 6 feet, with at least three players per side, however we had people join and leave the game throughout the day. Below are a selection of pictures taken during the game, enjoy....

We did not point up the armies for either side when we set up the game, we used what we thought were relatively balanced forces, however we were later  informed that the points worked out at at 5700 for the Evil side and 5400 for the Good side, (thanks to Paul, (Osbad), for taking the time to work that little lot out), which was not bad for a guess really.

The game ended in a draw, time beating us again unfortunately, as is always the case with these games.
